Moving north, back through Seaside Heights, you’ll
come into ORTLEY BEACH, which is part of TOMS
RIVER TOWNSHIP. Ortley also has a select few eateries
worth exploration.
The next town to the North is LAVALLETTE.
Beachgoers who like a little shopping with their sand will
love the string of original clothing and jewelry stores. It’s also loaded with
quaint little eateries, including bagel and sub shops and the well known
“MUSIC MAN” where ice cream is served with a song by crooning cone-
sters great fun for kids. The LAVALLETTE lifestyle is low key, surfer,
bicycle and jogging friendly.
Continuing on to the North, you’ll discover more
pleasure at the beaches of OCEAN, CHADWICK,
SILVER, NORMANDY and MANTOLOKING. All
of these little, “family-friendly” towns are extremely
surfer and great for picture taking and painting. Little
breakfast and lunch spots adorn the highway with
bright rental cottages everywhere. For a different feel, try
spending some time at one of the few bay beaches in these areas and enjoy
the more local and friendly atmospheres unique to their towns.
In closing, no matter how you look at it, “OUR ISLAND IN THE
SUN” is a paradise of it’s own and well worth its legendary reputation.
The blend of ocean breezes, friendly faces and private
businesses are all here for the same reason, to help and
entertain you. We hope you find all you’re looking for,
along with a great tan, here on the JERSEY SHORE.
